Camaro Part Supply - Selling Your Camaro

Although you loved that car, maybe it's time to sell your Camaro. Maybe you've found another Camaro that's newer or in better condition. So why not let someone else enjoy your Camaro after you've taken delivery of your new ride?

You can sell it the old-fashioned way by running a newspaper ad. Newspaper ads are OK: they are short and sweet, usually three lines for the weekend. But that's about it. After a weekend run, if you haven't sold your Camaro, you need to renew the ad and pay again.

With an internet ad, you can say as much as you want about your Camaro - there is more than enough room to write any description. Your ad runs for as long as your car has not sold. This means you do not have to renew your ad every week - usually you pay only once. Also, you can show pictures of your Camaro. Now that is something you would have to pay big bucks to do in a newspaper or circular. And you can show four, five, even ten pictures of your Camaro for the same price.

You can change or add to the information about your Camaro any time you want to and for as many times as you want to. Also, your internet ad is often picked up by other publications and news sources like MSN and newspapers that have websites. Used and new car publications may also run it. You get a lot of exposure locally but also from practically anywhere in the world via the internet.

Before placing your ad, consider the following. Sellers like to see and drive a Camaro that is clean and has that well-cared-for look. So, wash your Camaro thoroughly outside. Clean all painted, chrome and plastic surfaces with a good, non-abrasive car wash: fenders, hood, bumpers, roof, front grille, rear end. Then polish or wax the car. Next put your attention on the glass and mirrors: clean them with a good glass cleaner. After that, wash the tires, wheels and rims and finish the tires off with a good tire dressing.

Move on to the interior. Clean the glass and mirrors with a good glass cleaner. Then clean all the vinyl surfaces. Finally vacuum the entire interior, including seats, mats, floors, and trunk.

You will also want to make sure everything works on the Camaro you intend to sell. Make sure you repair any mechanical problems. Do all of the lights work? If not, install new lightbulbs. Do all of the switches operate they way they are supposed to?

Now you are ready to take pictures of your Camaro. Take a sideview, a front view, and a view from the rear. Take a picture of the engine compartment. Make sure to emphasize any custom parts you have installed, and be sure to show pin-striping or decals that make your Camaro unique. Don't forget lots of pictures of the interior, including dashboard, steering wheel, and seats.

Now write the best description you can. Tell potential buyers what fun it is to drive a Camaro, how it handles, the compliments you receive just driving down the street.

As you can see, selling your Camaro can be a lot of fun.
