Welcome to Camaro Drive Belt Headquarters. This site has been created specifically for you, the Chevy Camaro owner and driver.
Without your drive belt in good condition, your ability to travel is in serious jeopardy. Why? Because a drive belt supplies power to a number of essential components. One in particular is very important: the alternator. Without a properly operating alternator, you soon run out of electrical power, although in an emergency, you can travel for some distance on the power that your battery supplies. But without an alternator to supply renewed power to the battery, eventually your Camaro stops and you go nowhere.
Your drive belt also supplies power to the air conditioner and the power steering pump. So, as you can see, this is an important component to maintain in good condition.
To prevent any "down time," it is best to keep a spare drive belt for your Camaro. Buy serpentine or V-belts, ribbed or unribbed, here.
Many car and truck makers suggest inspecting your drive belt every 12 months or 15,000 miles. When you or your mechanic inspects a belt for problems, look for "glazing," (a shiny area anywhere on the belt); streaks on the sidewall of the belt; fraying; cracks; separation of the belt "piles"; breaks; tears; or oil soaking. Oil soaking means that there is an oil leak somewhere. Check the engine, transmission, or power steering fluid reservoir. Stop any leak immediately. Streaks on the belt's sidewall or glazing on the top of the belt most likely means that the belt is not adjusted properly. Replace your belt(s) on your Camaro as soon as you can if you see signs of any of the problems.
So whether your Camaro is an early model with an inline six, a V6 or the power packed 5.7L V8, you will find your belt here. Start your search by clicking on your model year. After our search engines find the exact belt you need, our dealers pick and ship fast. So relax. Your belt is on its way.
